N. Smithfield, RI – October 27, 2010 – MST pushes the start button on its new milling processing expansion project.
After months of fabrication and installation, MST is now ready for increased productivity in its Milling Department. Tripling its previous capacity, the newly installed milling process will allow the company to process larger customer lots, in an efficient and timely manner. This new equipment consists of additional ball milling capacity, as well as a screening station, and a blender for final sampling.
“This added capacity and machinery will not only triple our production capacity, but also allow us to process the material of multiple customers simultaneously, thus reducing backlog as well as settlement times” said MST’s General Manager, Craig Haddad. “We’ve seen a steady increase in incoming materials, and we want to be able to service our customers in a timely fashion. This new expansion project will allow us to do just that.”
N. Smithfield, RI – January 5, 2010 –Today, John Silvestri, President of MST announced the expansion of MST’s facility located in North Smithfield. RI. This $200,000 project will add approximately 8,000 square feet to the current facility. “Demand has created an immediate need to increase our service capacity. While the expansion area will be used mostly for warehousing and additional processing, it will enable us to increase our overall process efficiencies by as much as 30%.” said Mr. Silvestri.
Material Sampling Technologies is pleased to announce that Mr. Dave Wood has joined the company as Business Development & Sales Manager.
Dave comes to MST after a long and successful career at Johnson Matthey in the precious metals refining business, where he spent the last 3 years as a Regional Sales Manager.
In addition, Dave’s professional experience includes 11 years as a Superintendent directly involved in the preparation and sampling of precious metal laden material, as well as 5 years as a Commercial Services Manager.

Material Sampling Technologies announces completion of its Thermal Reduction Project. The new custom-designed Thermal Reduction Unit will allow for faster processing lead times, added material capabilities, and a more complete array of services to our customers.
